Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ)

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) has launched its Youth, Technology and Jobs (YTJ) project. The YTJ project aims to improve digitally-enabled income opportunities and expand digitized government services in Jordan through interventions that address specific constraints and opportunities in the supply and demand sides of the economy. The project duration is five years.

Talent Incentive

The Talent Incentive offers 50% employment subsidies for minimum of 4 months and up to 6 months to support digital companies' growth and expansion. It aims to help digital firms achieve their plans, create local job opportunities for Jordanians and stimulate the digital sector in cities beyond West Amman. Both existing and new digital firms, including international ones looking to expand to Jordan, are eligible to apply.

Market Expansion Incentive

The Market Expansion Incentive offers matching grants up to $100K to help digital companies expand and secure contracts in regional and global markets. The grants cover up to 50% of business development costs and aim to link Jordanian digital firms with potential buyers, increase revenue and create jobs. ITO/BPO businesses, both local and international, are eligible to apply.

GiG Incentive

YTJ supports CSOs/NPOs to train individuals in underserved communities, with a focus on youth, women, and Syrians, to access income opportunities in various tech and non-tech activities on digital platforms. The matching grants up to $200K cover up to 80% of project costs for training and outreach. The aim is to help individuals offer their services in fields such as graphic design, tutoring, customer care, data entry and more.
